In this position you will be responsible for all activities that ensure
execution of sales and merchandising plans within assigned territory.
This territory consists of high volume mass merchandiser customers – Wal-Mart,
Target, Fred Meyer etc. Activities include but are not limited to
selling, ensuring 100% distribution on all items, merchandising (to
include
building displays, packing out product, replenishing permanent secondary
displays),
and maintaining salability of all items.
• Retail Execution of the Company Sales Plan for each retailer
in the assigned territory.
• Selling and maintaining distribution of
products in the assigned territory.
• Ensuring expected retail execution of
Company and Customer Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans.
• Retail Sales Reps maintain a high frequency
of calls per cycle, per retailer, and leverage the strong working relationships
with retail decision makers;
result in customer support of sales and merchandising plans with all
assigned accounts.
• Provide merchandising assistance to customers
by building displays, negotiating placement
and replenishing permanent secondary displays,
and using point of sale materials effectively.
• Provide solutions to customers through analysis of customers
and market wide sales data.
• Develop customized sales presentations utilizing basic Microsoft
office products.
• Effectively perform the administrative aspects of the field
sales position.
• Post-secondary education.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.
• Ability to work occasional weekends and overnight stays as
required by the territory.
• Strong computer skills.
• 1 - 2 Yrs Recent sales experience through full time, internships
or Co-Op opportunities.
• Experience selling in high volume environments.
• Experience with Chain Grocers or Mass Merchandisers in any
capacity.
